Selected Ingredients

Thanks to our organic farm on Frohmatte (above Weggis), we are now largely self-sufficient regarding vegetables and salads. We also get many summer berries, various kitchen herbs, cereals, various pickled and preserves, apple juice and dried fruits from there. The high quality of the food, organic production and the shortest possible transport routes are important to us. All ingredients, which we buy for our kitchen, are exclusively in tested and highest biological quality, if possible regional and seasonal.


Medicinal Herbs

In our flower and herb garden, which is directly adjacent to our guesthouse, the medicinal plants from which we make our popular herbal teas and various medical products grow under particularly favorable conditions.


Animal Welfare Eggs

In the interest of animal welfare, we now almost completely dispense with animal products; our quasi-vegan eggs are an exception: they come from Sister Theresia’s protégés, the laying hens rescued from breeding farms at our animal shelter, are guaranteed to be free of animal suffering. On request, some of these eggs (depending on availability) can be taken along on the day of departure for a donation for the animals.


Bakery

All our various breads, cakes and small delicacies, with which we spoil our seminar guests as well as the guests of the garden café, we bake ourselves with great love; everything is in vegan quality, with the exception of some baked goods, in which the eggs from the animal shelter are used. In our bakery, we like to use spelt flour.

Our kitchen can take into account certain food allergies to a limited extent. Please let us know in advance if you have specific intolerances.
